Olivia teaches both harp and piano lessons! You will find her studio to be a warm, kind, fun, and interactive environment. Students of all ages and experience levels are welcome. It is not necessary to have any prior harp or piano experience to begin lessons.

Rocket city harpist
Olivia dreamed of becoming a professional harpist ever since she first saw a harp on a family vacation to Dollywood at 5 years old. After years of dreaming and hard work, she purchased a lever harp and began taking harp lessons from Katherine Newman at 14 years old. She studied harp all through high school, graduated, and began pursuing a music performance degree with Emily Waggoner at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. After completing her freshman year, Olivia transferred back home to the University of Alabama in Huntsville to continue studying under Ms. Newman’s tutelage. Olivia graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Music Performance, harp emphasis in 2017.
Olivia began piano lessons at a young age in preparation for learning harp. Her older brother gave her beginning lessons on the piano. Olivia studied with various teachers through the years - Emily McDonald, Joseph Frank, and Ruth Nason. She achieved advanced level repertoire by the end of high school, and passed her piano proficiency exams at both music colleges with flying colors.
